Presentations by Punny Kabir and Waseem Ahmed

Punny Kabir explores in her dissertation, titled Identity as an Active Political Process: Navigating Solidarity in Rome’s Banglatown, how Bangladeshi migrants and local leftist and anarchist groups forge solidarity networks to combat socio-political exclusion and economic precarity.

Waseem Ahmed investigates thesis Everyday Politics in Revolutionary England, 1649–1660 (seit Sept. 2021) the role of informers in early modern times. He treats informing as fundamentally an ‘informal’ political practice that allowed individuals, even humbler ones, who were usually excluded from more formalised political participation to engage with the state.
